Why Medicare Planning

To help you spend your money wisely & have coverage that meets your needs.

If you don’t investigate your options you may make a choice that turns out not to work for you.  And perhaps harms you financially.  Or limits your health care choices. There are timeframes where you can choose any coverage, without health underwriting.  There are limitations of when you can choose or change coverage. My goal is to help you limit your out-of-pocket obligation and pick options that suit your lifestyle, your wishes and your needs.

The important thing is to learn your options and figure out what makes the best sense for you.

  • Some people want to spend the least amount monthly on premiums.
  • Some want to broaden their doctor network and be able to go to any doctor or clinic in the United States.
  • Some want all the coverage in one package.
  • Some people are looking for extras, like a Silver Sneakers membership.
  • You can explore a zero premium Medicare Advantage plan.
  • Or a Medicare Supplement with 100% medical coverage after Medicare.

The important thing is to learn your options and figure out what makes the best sense for you. If you meet with me I’ll explain all the options and together we can determine your best plan for you.

After 15 years of being covered by my company retiree health plan, my company dropped coverage for all its retirees. I was faced with having to find Medicare products. I had no idea what to do. Liz explained the differences between a Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage Plans, and put my list of medications into the Medicare.gov plan finder to determine the prescription drug coverage that would best suit my needs. She joined me on a conference call with the insurance company hired by my former employer and guided me through the process of getting enrolled through them, so that I could take advantage of a company contribution towards my cost. Two hours of confusing jargon and disclaimers. I wouldn’t have understood what was happening without Liz’s assistance. Now I am set with a Medicare Supplement and a prescription drug plan that will cost me less than when I had the company retiree coverage. I’m very thankful for Liz’s guidance. She really does understand how Medicare works.
